CHRISTMAS HAMPERS:

Lakefield Youth Unlimited provided gift and food hampers on December 17, 2009 to a larger group than the previous year.  The need has increased as the economics we live in have become more difficult.  A special "Thank You" to all of our sponsors and volunteers who made it possible.

 

 

 

EASTER HAMPERS                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      On Saturday, April 3, 2010 Lakefield Youth Unlimited teamed up with St. Johns Anglican Church to host a Community Easter Market.  This is an outreach to those in Lakefield and surrounding area who are not able to afford the extras that come with special holidays such as Easter.  47 families and individuals pre-registered but 64 actually showed up!  Again, without those volunteers and sponsors, it wouldn't have been what it was - a wonderful display of love!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

OTHER OPPORTUNITIES:

 

We are constantly looking for creative ways to feed people.  Currently, we are directing people to the Lakefield foodbank at St. John Anglican Church, and hosted a Harvest Party Pig Roast this past September with great fun, an awesome dinner, great music, and a chance to take home fresh produce from gardens around the community.  The Pig Roast will take place again this September.  Look for updates in August.
