Christy Cockburn

Kawartha Lakes Satellite Director

Christy began her journey with Youth Unlimited in 2010 as a volunteer, and since then has been involved in many of our programs such as after school programs at the Bridge in Peterborough and Light Patrol in Toronto. She took on the role of Satellite Director in July 2016. She is a graduate of the Fleming College Child and Youth Worker program, and became a credentialed Missionary for Youth for Christ Canada in July 2018. Christy is passionate about investing in the staff she leads, and helping them achieve their full potential as they pour into the youth of Kawartha Lakes.

Rebecca Sage

Bobcaygeon Outreach Worker

Rebecca has been involved with Youth Unlimited since her teen years, having attended YU programs in 2008 in her hometown of Wingham, Ontario. She travelled to BC to go to a YU school of youth outreach called Lifeteams. Rebecca has a youth worker diploma from Colombia Bible College and became a credentialed Missionary for Youth for Christ Canada in July 2018. Rebecca came back to Ontario to work with youth in Bobcaygeon in 2014. She is on fire for Jesus and runs programs all year round. Rebecca loves hiking, camping, dancing and drinking coffee.

Martin-Chipp Smith

Fenelon Falls Outreach Worker

Martin has been serving with KLYU since 2008. He answered God’s call, asking him to apply to YU, after reading about a job opportunity in the newspaper. He became a credentialed Missionary for Youth for Christ Canada in July 2018. Martin’s passion for God is obvious in his life and when he is teaching youth in his programs. Martin loves spending time with his family. He is married to Jennifer, and they have four beautiful daughters, Taylor, Ava, Robin, and Madison. Martin also really enjoys hunting, fishing and anything outdoors.

Al Cavers

Linsday Outreach Worker

Back in 2011, having worked with youth in the Lindsay churches for many years, Al was asked by the ministerial to get Youth Unlimited started in Lindsay. Al has a way of making all young people feel acknowledged and he finds a way to make every person he speaks to feel important. Al became a credentialed Missionary for Youth for Christ Canada in July 2018. Al also coaches the Fleming College Loggersports Team. He and his wife Kelly have four children and many grandchildren! Al loves cooking, barbequing, hunting, camping, fishing, and all other outdoor activities.
