Lakefield Youth Unlimited Staff
Satellite Director LYU
For 20 plus years Chris has been involved in church and community youth groups, drop-in programs, day camps, and high school support in small and large communities. Currently, he is the Satellite Director of Youth Unlimited in Lakefield where he lives with his wife and two daughters. Chris’ heart is to see the physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual needs of youth met so that they can attain the full potential that they have been created for. In his spare time he loves to cook, garden, and follows many kinds of sports (especially the Toronto Raptors).
Katie is the Office Manager with Youth Unlimited in Lakefield. For as long as she can remember, Katie has served children, youth and adults at camps, schools and church. That’s why LYU is such a great fit! Using her administrative skills to support the LYU staff and programs, Katie enjoys knowing that her behind the scenes work has a greater purpose of assisting the youth and families of Lakefield.
With four children having flown the coop, Katie still has lots to fill her days. She helps her husband in his home building business and pursues hobbies, which involve music and art.
Sarah has almost twenty years of experience running After School Programs in large and small communities. For eight years she volunteered with Youth Unlimited in Lakefield in the ‘Come Cook With Us’ program. She has also been the coordinator for LYU’s Christmas and Easter hampers, organized a weekly mom’s night-out called “Moms in a Nuttshell,” worked with families during the “Strengthening Families Program” that was in partnership with Peterborough Police, and organized Family Movies on school P.D. days.
She is now the After-School Coordinator for the Lakefield After School Program that meets during the school year. She also coordinates the Awesome Summer Program Day Camp, functioning in this capacity for the past four years. Sarah’s passion is to see that young children’s needs are met at an early age so that they can be equipped to realize their full potential.
