Support-a-Student

Would you consider making a financial commitment to support a student to attend our Lakefield After-School Program?

Every Tuesday from 3:20-5:00pm, twenty plus students meet at St. John's Anglican Church for our Lakefield After-School Program (ASP). Each student has a tutor that helps in areas of weaknesses and becomes a trusted mentor. ASP also offers:

  • support in the schools (reading to students one-on-one and chaperoning trips and events)
  • ASP summer day camps and a partnership with Lakefield’s Vacation Bible School
  • family assistance and parental support
  • ASP tutoring time focusing on literacy and numeracy skill building

Through a partnership with St. John's Anglican Church, ASP encourages the youth of Lakefield to become caring citizens and to reach their full potential.

The cost of running ASP is approximately $600 per student. This cost includes staff, programming and materials. Community groups and individuals are able to donate by committing to one of the levels listed below, and in turn their business or name will be printed on our Support-a-Student Community Banner.

To partner with us in serving the youth of Lakefield and their families, please contact Sarah Jones at 705-761-1166 or sarahj@youthunlimitedkaw.com.
