Kawartha Youth For Christ is celebrating 30 years of reaching out to youth in the Kawarthas!

Dear Dinner Supporter,

I am writing you today to express my sincere thanks for your support and encouragement of our 30th Anniversary Fundraising Dinner, ‘PAST FORWARD’.  The staff and board worked very hard to plan the dinner and prepare an excellent presentation.  From the feedback we have received so far, it sounds like our guests were inspired and informed by it. 

The dinner was a success on many fronts.  We felt we were able to give an accurate overview of the history of Youth For Christ in the Kawarthas.  We were excited to honour our past Executive Directors for all their hard work, heart and sacrifice for the sake of reaching youth for Christ … and we were able to present the current and future strategic initiatives of Youth Unlimited. 

With your help we celebrate surpassing our fundraising goal in the onetime gift category, raising an outstanding $48,160.  Monthly pre-authorized commitments of $175.00 per month brought us closer to our goal of $1500.00/month, bringing our grand total to $50,260!!!

We could not have accomplished this without those of you who joined our matching gift partnership!  We were blessed to have maxed out the $20,000 designated for this purpose - the matching gift program REALLY WORKED!! 

Your generous gift has really helped us:
•    Expand our After School Programs
•    Support the rapidly developing Youth Mentoring Program
•    Expand the development of new Street Level Community Outreach Initiatives
•    Provide much needed resources for our High School and Youth Centre programs
•    Develop support services for our Satellites in Lakefield, Bobcaygeon/Fenelon Falls and Haliburton Highlands
•    Develop our new Places of Discipleship (PODs) for youth

We are experiencing the Lord’s favour as we work at this vision full steam ahead.  We are very serious about what the Lord is calling us to and will work as a part of the Body of Christ to serve and reach this generation.  God loves every youth in the Kawarthas and desires each one to attain their full-life potential as He designed it.  Thank you for your support and care for our ministry!
